This pipe nipple is particularly suitable for screwing a filter onto a water pump. In many cases, filters cannot be mounted directly onto a pump because of the internal (female) screw thread. Using a nipple may be a solution and the pipe nipple is very practical, particularly for use with booster pumps. This will also create sufficient space to place the filter straight onto the pump.
