Pressure switch: 6 bar

Pressure switches ensure that a pump switches on and off automatically, depending on pressure requirement. If a tap / draw-off point is opened, the pressure in the pipes will drop and the pressure switch responds accordingly by switching the water pump on, and then switching it off when all the taps / draw-off points are closed and the pressure in the pipes increases again. 

The pressure switch activates / deactivates the water pump too soon or too lateBefore starting, please note that a mechanical pressure switch cannot be reset to default factory settings. You are responsible for the correct configuration, we cannot assist you in this respect. Note: No connecting tube is included.

Please take into account the following aspects:

• As a standard, the pressure switch is set to: switch-on pressure: 2 bar, switch-off pressure: 3 bar;
• The maximum pressure can be calculated by dividing the delivery head value by 10. This value is indicated on your pump.

Please follow the next steps:

• Disconnect the pump from the power supply;
• Remove the lid from the pressure switch;
• The screw in the large spring controls both the switch-on pressure and the switch-off pressure:  turn it to the right to increase both pressure settings, and to the left to decrease them;
• The screw in the small spring only controls the switch-off pressure: turn it to the right to increase the pressure setting, and to the left to decrease it;
• Replace the lid.
