You can screw this connector directly onto a sprinkler or tap using the thread.
Make sure the thread on the sprinkler or tap is on the inside (¾" female thread).
On the other side you now have a Gardena coupling connector on which all your Gardena accessories can be clicked by means of a hose, such as:
